AI Boot Camp cohort in Poland
Two complementary approaches

Two ways to learn. One boot camp.

Some groups want to work through the leading AI tools for research tasks. Others want to leave with something built around their own work. Both run inside the same program.

A

Explore & Apply AI Tools

Learn how leading AI tools can support specific research tasks.

Hands-on sessions cover literature review, writing, data analysis, grants, publication, research communication and responsible AI. Participants experiment with the tools that fit their work and learn where each one is genuinely useful, where it falls short, and where researcher judgment remains necessary.

  • Live demos followed by guided practice on your own material
  • A clear read on what each tool is good at — and what it isn't
  • Verification, integrity and judgment built into every task
B

Build Customized AI Workflows

Build an AI tool around a real task from your own work.

Participants identify a workflow worth building, define what the tool should do, create a useful first version, make it reusable, and test how well it holds up on new cases. No coding experience is required.

  • Start from a real task rather than a predetermined tool
  • Leave with something you can keep using and improve
  • Sharing is optional — you can build privately

Programs can focus on either approach, or combine both, depending on the audience and training goals.

Who's bringing us in?

Built for the people who bring the training in.

Most engagements start with a doctoral program, a research office, or a professional-development lead. Find your situation below — the curriculum is then shaped around your people.

Doctoral & graduate programs

AI skills your candidates use through the whole PhD.

For heads of graduate studies who want more than a one-off AI webinar for their doctoral cohort.

  • Doctoral-stage literature work — scoping, screening, synthesis they can defend
  • Writing, submission, and peer review with integrity and disclosure built in
  • Shared AI norms candidates and supervisors can actually agree on
Research offices — for your own team

Pre- and post-award work, with less of the grind.

For grant officers, NCPs, and pre/post-award staff preparing Horizon Europe and other proposals — not a general AI overview.

  • Horizon Europe: calls, work programmes, fit, and proposal strategy
  • Proposal writing, development, and internal review at speed
  • Post-award reporting and consortium coordination load
Training your researchers

You own the room. We own the curriculum.

For research offices, department heads, and professional-development leads responsible for researcher training.

  • Modular program matched to your cohort's level and disciplines
  • Clear division of labor — you invite and host, we design and deliver
  • Follow-up package so the skills survive past the live days
Choose your track

Hands-on. Customized to your team.

Every session is built around the live work your group brings — grant calls, draft proposals, courses, datasets, institutional workflows. Pick the audience that fits and we tailor depth, examples, and tool mix from there.

Why this boot camp

Not another theoretical AI lecture.

Built around real research and grant workflows — customized to your audience, with responsible-AI practice woven through every module.

  1. 01

    Real work, not demos.

Participants bring their own grant calls, drafts, datasets, or course materials and leave with finished deliverables.

  2. 02

    Customized to your audience.

We adjust depth, examples, and tool mix to the group — PhDs, PIs, grant officers, NCPs, or mixed cohorts.

  3. 03

    Responsible AI in every module.

Privacy, integrity, AI declarations, funder and journal expectations — handled throughout, never bolted on.

  4. 04

    Built for institutions.

Webinar, workshop, full boot camp, or multi-session program — with follow-up resources that compound after the live days.

Real outcomes. Real institutions.

Last month I had the privilege of chairing the AI for Research Management Bootcamp at Imperial College London, and what a fantastic two days of learning, discussion, and practical exploration it was! We were especially fortunate to receive training from Avi Staiman, a world-renowned expert in AI for research management. Avi brought a rare blend of strategic insight and practical know-how, helping us cut through the complexity of AI and explore how it can support research planning, stakeholder engagement, communication, and data privacy utilising best practices. We were thrilled to welcome 80+ participants, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive — a real testament to the relevance of the topic and the quality of the delivery.

ALE's workshop on AI tools for research and writing was an interactive, engaging, and (most importantly) fun experience for members of our department. Our researchers, research managers and science writers were equally able to take away actionable knowledge from the in-person workshop. We received such great feedback from our participants that we will be offering another one.

I'd like to sincerely thank you for delivering the AI Bootcamp. We truly appreciated your insights and experience in introducing so many AI tools relevant to our work. It was a great experience, and I especially valued how the training brought together both research managers and researchers. Being able to test AI tools using topics directly relevant to our faculty made the sessions even more practical and engaging. We also really appreciate the recording, resources, and materials you shared after the training — these will be incredibly useful as we continue exploring AI in our work.

I just wanted to say that the sessions were great! Thank you very much for the many informative and relevant suggestions, and for your kind and approachable attitude. Unlike some other workshops, it was clear that you truly live and breathe this field and that made all the difference. I gained a lot from the bootcamp.
